We had a very successful Open Forum meeting on Monday the 17th October.

Around 40 parents attended, along with Lara Newman (Navigant Consulting), Mark Evans (DfES) and Sylvie Sklan (SWSF).

The evening started with a question and answer session. Subsequently the group broke into 3 smaller groups to discuss Governance (how a Steiner Academy might be run), Buildings and Pedagogy (what sort of new building would be appropiate for teaching and working in), and Community (how to hold on to what is special about our school, and what should be done with our existing buildings).

Lara Newman has produced a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) about the Academy; these can be found in the Discussion area. Please feel free to ask further questions, or comments on the answers given so far.

Things are moving quickly now; the next Academy meeting is scheduled for Tuesday the 2nd November. Please make every effort to attend.
