| Teaching and learning in Steiner schools are regarded essentially as artistic activities which call upon the imagination of the learners and the creativity and inspiration of the teachers. The pedagogy itself draws on Dr Steiner's work on child development, which is a field of contemporary and ongoing research. However, it should be noted that Steiner's wider philosophy, which is known as "anthroposophy", (or the study of the wisdom of the human being) is neither taught nor promoted to the pupils. |
